Membership

The Campanelli YMCA is a membership organization. We welcome all individuals, regardless of age, income, background and ability. Meeting the needs of individuals with disabilities or special needs is both a legal and ethical responsibility of the YMCA. Our programs are designed to enhance the quality of your life and are geared to the development of character values.

Facility Membership
With a Facility Membership, you have full use of the YMCA facilities. This includes the YMCA fitness centers and a free fitness center orientation, certain group exercise classes, and lap and recreational swimming. Facility members also are eligible for reduced fees on specialty classes and programs.

Youth Membership (3 – 12 yrs.)
Ages 3-12 years.  Designed for the child to receive YMCA program discount rates (i.e. aquatics programs, child care, summer camp, martial arts, etc.)

Student Membership (13 – 26 yrs.)
MUST BE full-time student (up to age 26 only) to qualify.  (Copy of high school or college I.D. must be submitted at time of membership registration).

Adult Membership (18+ yrs.)
Single adult membership ages 18 – 64. (Note:  This membership category is also for non-students)

Single Parent Membership
One Single Parent and all dependent children 18 years of age and under, AND ALL living at the same address.  Also includes children who are FULL-TIME college students up to age 26 ONLY.  (Dependent college students MUST submit copy of college id).

Couples Membership
Two individuals living at the same address (Copies of proof of address for both members must be submitted with membership application).

Family Membership
Includes two parent/guardians and all dependent children 18 years of age and under (26 years of age and under if full-time student) ALL MUST LIVE AT SAME ADDRESS.  (Copy of college I.D. must be submitted at time of membership registration)

Extended Family Membership
Allows families to add additional family members, who RESIDE AT THE SAME ADDRESS to their membership. PROOF OF COMMON RESIDENCY IS REQUIRED.  Dependent Children over the age of 26 must be added as Extended Family.  (Copy of Driver’s License must be submitted for each additional Extended Family Member).

Senior Couple (65+ yrs.)
Two adults age 65+ living in the same household.  Both individuals MUST BE 65+age or older, NO EXCEPTIONS.  (Proof of common residency required & must be submitted with membership application).

Change of Membership Status and Cancellation
As a YMCA member, you are not obligated by a contract. However, if your membership status needs to be changed for any reason, a minimum of a 15 day written notice is required. This must be in writing by either completing our cancellation form or sending a fax with your name, address, and signature, or by mail. Please write legibly. Incomplete or illegible documentation may cause a delay in processing changes and cancellations.*Any guests under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian signature to be allowed use of the facility. No more than 2 guest may accompany a Y member. The YMCA is a membership based facility.  As such, non-members must be accompanied by a YMCA member to use the facility.

Daily Guest Policy/Fees
Members must be 21 years of age & older to bring PAID guests into the facility

– YMCA members are allowed 2 PAID guests per visit
– Guests must provide a photo ID
“AWAY” YMCA members must provide a photo ID
(“AWAY” members may bring in guests providing the guest pays the established guest fee, provides a valid ID, and signs the waiver form)
– ALL guests must sign a waiver (parents must complete waiver for youth & teens) 
– YMCA members must accompany their guests into the facility and be present at all times
– YMCA members are responsible for their guests
– Members bringing in children under 10 as guest must supervise them at all times
Student:   $6
Adult:        $8
Family:     $10

Program Membership ONLY

For those who want to participate in a particular class or program such as swim lessons, youth sports, child care, parent-child programs, etc., and do not wish to become a facility member, a Community Membership is ideal. General usage of the YMCA is not included. Fees vary per class or program.

During your travels outside of the Schaumburg Area, your membership card entitles you to visit more than 2,000 locations across the country and worldwide. Some guest fees may apply.
